Christmas

We spent Christmas here in Iowa again this year, it was a little hard to be away from family again (horomones are going crazy), but we had a lot of fun with GREAT friends who are like our family here.

Christmas Eve we went to a party where there was a nativity for the kids, and there was a little drama (as in little girls fighting over who wanted to be Mary and hold baby Jesus) this year but not too much....Lila was a shepherd (doesn't she look so interested?)....and a special visitor came. Lila hated that visitor as you can tell by the picture below, she wouldn't even look at him to see if she recognized anything at all. Do you?

Christmas morning was a lot of fun. Lila loved opening presents....she took the paper off little piece by little piece. She was most interested in her new shopping cart from her cousin Eliza....she put everything in there! She also liked her phone and would put it up to her ears and say, "hello?" J got a remote controled car AND helicopter and I think he had as much fun chasing Lila with them as she did being chased and chasing them. It was a fun day!

That afternoon we had our friends over for dinner and it was so fun as always, this is their last Christmas here and we are so sad....that means we will probably have to go back west this year....shucks. :)

It is always hard for Christmas Day to be over for me....there is so much hype for so long about it and then it just ends. But, this last picture is one of my all time favorites and it was the perfect ending to our day.

Enjoy the pics!
