The past two weeks have been super busy.....
-We went on our fantastic (and short) vacation back to Idaho/Wyoming/Utah for the 4th of July weekend. We flew from Chicago (thanks Christie and Matt) on Thursday and had breakfast with Jason's mom, brother, and nephew in SLC and then B picked us up and we headed to Idaho Falls. We had a barbecue with fam that night and the next morning of course went to the IF parade and Grandpa's house for the barbecue. It was so much fun seeing everyone-including my other cousins from my dad's side. We headed over to Jackson that afternoon (Jason and I were the lucky ones to be in my dad's truck with the 12 ft canoe strapped to the top...oh it was joyous-I wish I would have gotten a shot of that) and yes, we even stopped at the square ice cream store and I got my favorite ever.....Huckleberry ice cream! We shopped and watched fireworks that night and the next morning headed to Jenny Lake-one of the most beautiful places in the world and hiked and ended up at String Lake for some wading/swimming and canoeing. It could not have been a more gorgeous day. That night was the Bar J-amazing as ever-I think my dad is sometimes more entertaining to watch because he is laughing so hard. The next morning was the worst, because I had to say goodbye again for 6 months. That is always horrible, but after getting over that for the past week it is good we are home and we are ready to go on with the next few months......Thanks Mom and Dad for the best time and it was so good to see everyone!
-Jason officially is in the Program! He starts his first Chiropractic class tomorrow, he had more orientation today to prep him for the insane trimester ahead. I am so proud of him! We came out here in Feb. thinking we were starting in November and he passed all of his classes and worked hard to start earlier and now we are! I am also glad because there are 4 other guys in our Ward that are starting at the same time and it will be so nice for all of them to have study buddies and for all the wives to have girl's nights out!
-We were able to go to Nauvoo again last Saturday with our friends the Walls and do a session in the Temple and also to go the Nauvoo Pageant! It was raining all day long and then once we got out of the Temple the sun was shining through the clouds and the night was perfect. The Pageant was so fun and so spiritual.....it is awesome to be there and know you are walking through so much history and walking in places where Joseph Smith did and everyone else.
I am looking forward to the next couple of months because Bailey heads out here in August and then my parents will be here in the beginning of September! Then it is fall and then Christmas time......how time flies!

You went to the square ice cream store? No one told me that! That would have been almost worth the horrible ride with the foam and canoe on the top...
Your trip sounds very busy but fun! How exciting that Jason is starting his first class :) I know what you mean about time going to fast. It seems like the older you get, the faster it gets.
Sounds like fun! I miss Idaho in the summer time. How do you get people to visit you so much!?! I'm jealous. Congrats to Jason for starting early! That's exciting! Luckily the fall goes fast and we will all be in the West again soon! Love you cuz.
Miss you already!! But Christmas will be here soon, right? Love you tons.
I love Jenny Lake and String Lake! My family used to go hiking and swimming there every summer. I was in Jackson about a month ago and also stopped for a square ice cream-- it's classic! I'm happy to hear you guys are doing so well and that you had a good 4th.
Hi Court! We were in I.F. too! I wish I could have seen you. It sounds like you had a blast! I know it is terrible when you have to leave the fam! AT least you are going to be getting lots of vistors!I felt the same way you did when I got back.
Wait a minute, you mean to tell me that you were in Idaho for the 4th of July, and you missed the firework show?!!! Courtney, Courtney, Courtney. I'll let it slide, just this one time. But I agree that the square ice cream store is pretty freakin sweet! I don't know what it is about square ice cream that's so good (it's all in our heads! I bet square ice cream tastes the same as round ice cream...but let's not tell others that). I'd have to say that the Black Licorice is my favorite flavor though (weird, I know.) I'm sad we missed you guys though! I wish we could have been in Idaho for the 4th, but maybe next year.
Senorita!!!! I love it!
I'm so glad I got to see you!! So fun! You need to e-mail me the pictures. JaymeA9@gmail.com
So B probably told you we ate at Bubba Gumps... it totally reminded me of you and our trip to Miami! Welcome to Miami!
XOXO
