Updates

I am really bad at updating this....I look at it every night thinking I will do it but then it never happens....so here are some things that are going on with us (honestly, there is not much going on!). It feels like spring is finally here-yesterday I was able to go out in our flower boxes and clear out the dead leaves and pull weeds and hopefully this weekend we can finish cleaning them up. I am still awaiting our lilacs to bloom and the trees to start having leaves, but I have a feeling it will happen soon. I don't have any great pictures-but I think this weekend we are going out and I will take some then.

Work and school are going good. I finally finished my training a couple of weeks ago and I am on my own at work......I have only messed up a few times-fixable things thank goodness. I was called as Camp Director in the ward, and because I can't get time off of work I am not able to go to camp but I am planning it all ahead of time. It is so weird because there are only 7 girls in our ward that are going (well seriously that is how many YW there are) and only like I guess 40 in the Stake-I am used to like 40 in the ward going-it will be fun to plan! Jason is so busy with school-all he does is study and this is nothing compared to what the next couple of years are going to be like I am sure. We really enjoyed General Conference and we are so grateful for President Monson.......he is hilarious! I love his sense of humor.

We just got our tickets for the "Ritchie Family Reunion" during the 4th of July. I CAN'T wait.....I wasn't able to go home last year so it will be great to be there again-then we are all going to Jackson to stay for a couple of days-of course hit the Bar J (Craig's fave) and go hiking. I am counting down the days! We are heading to Michigan for Memorial Day to see Jason's dad and his family-it's only about 6 hours away so it will be a nice little road trip. It will be a lot of fun to see where Jason grew up and to go somewhere new!

Somehow, a couple of weeks ago, I was able to fall down our stairs twice in 3 days. We have new carpet on them and I am not sure if it is just slippery or if I can't walk but yeah. And these are very steep since the house was built over a 100 years ago. Let me describe the first fall-it was from the top step I slipped and flew in the air and landed on my right butt cheek and slid down only on that the whole way down and then slammed into the wall at the bottom. Somehow nothing else hurt except that right cheek. Then the next time I slipped halfway down-flew in the air and landed on....you guessed it....my already sore right butt cheek and slid down on that....when I landed on the bottom I slipped on a plastic bag that was there....slammed into the wall again and my neck went back and hit one of the stair edges. Oh it was great. So I was pretty sore that entire week-I could barely move. And I wish I had a tape of both falls-I am sure it was a classic sight. The first time I slipped it was just because-the other time was because I thought the house was on fire so I was running down the stairs and it turned out to be rain on the window.....so basically, I am an idiot.

Here is a picture of part of our kitchen-this is our new little table we have in there. It is so cute! And here are some pics of the backyard...hopefully the grass will grow a little better in the summer.

Cute! I didn't know that your table finally got there. It looks really nice there. Hope your butt is healing well.

Glad your blogged again ... even though I talk to you all the time I still like reading the funny stories you write.

Hate to tell ya Court, but the problem isn't the stairs...it's you! I'm sure your bum really hurts, but I'm still laughing! I wish you would have taped it! Your house is so cute friend! Oh, and how the freak do you upload videos from youtube to a blog? I'm retarded and can't figure it out. By the way, how are you liking your job?
