Well we are finally here! We got here on Saturday, February 16th after a nice 5 day drive. We left from Vegas on Tuesday and headed up to Utah and stayed with Jason's brother. It wasn't that sad leaving Vegas actually, we didn't even look back. I can't believe we fit everything into the trailer-I thought for sure it wouldn't all fit. After stopping at Bailey's school to say bye (sad day)on Wednesday, we headed to Rock Springs, Wyoming and waited for my parents. The roads were horrible and of course the next morning the I-80 was closed going both ways. We were stuck there all day, we went to the mall and seriously hungout there most of the day and the Harley Shop (surprise, surprise). It was a wonderful Valentine's day. We checked into a hotel and of course right when we did that the freeway opened. We stayed still and got up the next morning early and headed out. Jason drove with dad and I think they had a lot of fun. We had walkie talkies and my mom and I were laughing the whole time listening to them. We stopped at the world headquarters of Cabelas in Nebraska and my dad was in heaven. We stayed in Lincoln, Nebraska that night and got up the next morning and headed to Iowa. Nebraska was pretty boring, scenic wise. When we got into Iowa there were lots of hills and farmland. It looks a lot like northern Idaho. Closer to Davenport though it was just hills of farmland. We finally got to our house and we love it! We went shopping and got some really cute furniture and it has come together nicely. We feel really blessed that my parents could drive out with us and help us move in. They are amazing! It was really hard saying bye to them on Sunday, but I did it and things have been going great so far. Last week we mostly unpacked and got familiar with the town. It is pretty big and the people are very friendly. This week hopefully we can finish unpacking the upstairs and I can maybe send in resumes.

Court! I'm so jealous of your cute house! It's adorable! I think you have the same kitchen table as us too! Although, I think we've only sat at our table about 5 times in the past 2 years. We usually sit on the couch and watch tv as we eat. Yeah, pretty sad. I miss you already! When Mark is done with school, I'll come out and visit ya....but only in the summer. There's no way in HELL I'm coming to visit Iowa in the winter! HA!
LOL! I am so with Lachelle on that one, the kids and I will come in the spring or summer to visit ... not winter. Your house looks super cute, you are an awesome decorator. Sounds like your trip to Nauvoo was amazing. We'll have to go when we come. Glad you are doing good. Love ya.
So davenport Iowa? Well google map it and see how far you are from Columbia, MO. I think you are within a couple hundred miles from us. Although there isn't really much of a reason to come to Columbia...bad weather, no beaches, no mtns, we do have 3 walmarts though!!! Plan your Thanksgiving trip now.
Us midwesterners/east coasters should plan a mini reunion...a couple hundred miles doesn't sound so bad to see some familiar faces!!
