Lila turned 9 months 8 days ago. What? I am in shock. I thought the 9 months I was pregnant with her went by fast, but I have no idea where the time went with her in the past 9 months! She had her doctors appointment the other day and it went great. She just smiled the entire time, as usual.
Her stats:Weight: 17lbs 13oz (between 10% and 25% percentile)
Length: 28 inches (betweent 50% and 75%)
So she is growing great......yeah I know the weight is a little low but she is definitely making up for it in length and she gained 3 pounds in two months so that is good right?
We cannot get enough of her. J and I always talk about how amazing (and scary) it is to be responsible for her the rest of her life and teach her. It terrifies me that I am going to do everything wrong, but I know it will all work out. When she turned 8 months she grew so much. I think in two weeks she learned to say dada, clap her hands, crawl, and stand up. It is so exciting she is growing up, but it makes me sad that my baby is going to be a toddler soon! Ahhh!
Things I
heart about Lila at 9 months:
- she is crawling EVERYWHERE! at 8 months she army crawled and then each day she has gotten faster and faster and then was on all fours and now is a speedracer
- she pulls herself and stands holding onto furniture, her crib, and our legs
- she follows us around the house like a puppy dog, it is soooo adorable
- one morning I went in to get her when she woke up and she leaned her face to my mouth...to get a kiss....like it is expected every morning when I get her out of her crib....i melted
- when we tell her to not do something, so "no" sometimes (most of the time she stops) she will keep looking at me with this little smirk and move her hand back to touch whatever it was again.....she is a little stinker!
- if we don't pay attention to her she will scream/squawk at us
- she sleeps 10-12 hours a night....and if she wakes up she is like "sleep-crying" she will stand up in her crib and cry and then we go in and put her binky in and she falls right back to sleep
- she is obsessed with spoons and these cute little shoes she has....she loves to chew on them for some reason
- if there is something in her way when she is crawling and moving she will grab it and chuck it to the side or behind her.....so classic
- she does this thing when i am changing her or she is laying on her back that is ridiculously funny.....i put a wet wipe over her face and she goes nuts.....she kicks her legs and flails her arms and laughs....but it kind of sounds like she is a dog and she tries to eat the wipe....i will have to put the video of her for it to make sense but it is hilarious
- she loves to dance! whenever any music starts playing on tv or on the computer or on one of her toys she starts rocking back and forth....i take credit for that because i think we have watched the "Single Ladies" music video almost everyday since she was one month old.....when i play that for her she goes crazy
- she definitely has her dad's eyebrows.....i love watching her eyebrows go up and down when she is drinking her bottle or trying to figure something out with a toy, or when she sees me and smiles
- her smile is contagious....it really will make your bad day better.....and her eyes and dimples too
- she hardly ever cries, i can mostly tell what she needs if she is crying
- i love to watch her figure out things and learn things everyday...it is the cutest thing watching her feel things around her and play with something new
- she loves little kids.....if they are playing peek-a-boo or jumping around she giggles so much
- i love that when she is frustrated or sad for a moment she will crawl to me and want a hug or kiss and then is off to do something else, it makes me feel so wanted!
Ok, that was kind of an overload.....and there are so many more things! I just love her so much and because of her I have learned to appreciate so much in my life and life in general. She is truly a blessing!
